Finding good podcasts on any freelance related subject isn’t the easiest thing to accomplish, even with the mass of podcast directories and search engines out there. So we spent our sunny afternoon and did it for you (next time don’t be so lazy!). Now you can follow seasoned professionals spit out news, tips, advice, and interviews about your choice of profession.

We have collected the top current podcasts for Web Designers, Web Developers, Graphic Designers, Photographers, and Freelance Writers!

Web Designers

Boag World

Boagworld began as the personal blog of Paul Boag, where he mainly discussed web design issues. However, Paul quickly discovered that writing was hard work and so turned to the emerging medium of podcasting.

.NET Magazine

.net delivers cutting edge practical advice on the full range of topics essential for today’s web builders: design, development, sales, marketing, usability and accessibility, information architecture, security, copywriting, advertising and more. It’s main host is also Paul Boag.

You Suck At Web Design

“You Suck at Web Design” is a humorous (attempting to be, that is) writing project about life as a web designer in our current flurry of web acronyms, standards compliance, WYSIWYG, style sheets, hacks, digging, 2.0-this and Ajax-that. It’s mostly a commentary on the life of a freelancer, and a horribly lop-side disdain for the corportate world and it’s micro management.

Web Developers

Web 2.0 Show

The Web 2.0 Show is a podcast about emerging technologies commonly referred to as “Web 2.0″, and is hosted by Josh Owens and Adam Stacoviak. The Web 2.0 Show focuses on interviewing the developers and entrepreneurs who are creating the next generation of web services and media delivery.

Graphic Designers

49Sparks

The 49Sparks Podcast is focused on design and trends. It’s mostly video because that way you see the people, their passion and what it is they’re talking about. Most podcasts are one minute long and straight to the point!

Design Matters with Debbie Millman is an opinionated and provocative internet talk radio show. The show combines a stimulating point of view about graphic design, branding and cultural anthropology. In a business world dependent on change, design is one of the few differentiators left.

TypeRadio

Typeradio is a Microfm broadcast, a MP3 internet radio stream and a podcast station. Since 2004 Typeradio (which is Donald Beekman, Liza Enebeis aka LoveLiza & Underware) is visiting different design events around the world, to meet designers and to talk.
